CRU Document Search
To perform a search of the CRU documents, enter the keyword or
phrase of interest. A wildcard character (*) can be used to create word stems that
allow a keyword such as *document* to match document, documents, documented, and
undocumented. If you need to search using more than one keyword or phrase,
Solr/Lucene query syntax must be used. Review the
Apache
Lucene Query Parser Syntax web page to create more complex queries.
For all the serious software geeks out there, make sure and read the
HARRY_READ_ME.txt file.
You will get a good idea of just how bad the CRU software and data is....
Note 1: We seem to have had some
problems with the Solr indexing. During our pre-release testing, we noticed that some
keywords we knew appeared in specific documents were not returned as matches
by Solr. We will be working to find and fix the problem, but wanted to provide
at least some kind of rudimentary search capability in the interim.
Note 2: File/Directory selection is not currently tied to the keyword search.
Any files/directories selected will always appear at the bottom of the search results
page. When the
indexing problem is resolved, it will be changed to work as it was intended. We
apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any problems or suggestions for improvements, please
let us know.
